Course Overview:
A hands-on workshop on drone development, covering Fundamentals to Calibration. Students will engage in the design, assembly, and programming of drones, gaining practical insights into the rapidly evolving field of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Course Description:
The Mavic Workshop, hosted by Ozhli Academy of Science, is a hands-on program focused on the development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) – drones. Participants in this three-day workshop will not only learn the fundamentals of drones but also have the unique opportunity to build and fly their own drones. The workshop is designed to cover various aspects, from the working principles of drones to mission planning and flight simulation.

Who Should Take This Course:
This Course is ideal for the students of Aeronautical Engineering & Mechanical Engineering (preferably 3rd Year students).
Benefits of Taking This Course:
Students can gain important knowledge about unmanned aerial vehicles through this workshop. The entire course contains material on the fundamentals and working principle of UAVs. The relevance of several drone types is taught. The entire session is structured such that all the theoretical concepts that students need to memorize are paired with practical activities that help them retain the information. All of the lectures will be directly related to drones and designed to be learned through gamification.
The training also covers mission planning, safety considerations, and the drone maintenance procedure, which are industry-required skills for someone wishing to work with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The virtual Flight Simulation gives users practical experience flying a drone safely. Students may utilize the individual drones they built at the end to study more in-depth about drones at their own pace.
Students will therefore feel comfortable working with drones and using them to address challenges in the real world. This coursework gives them a head start in their quest to understand unmanned aerial vehicles in greater detail.
Prerequisites:
Participants required to understand physics, electronics, and computer literacy is recommended. A keen interest in aerial technology, problem-solving skills, and safety awareness are essential. The workshop accommodates varying skill levels, providing a supportive learning environment. Participants unsure of their readiness can seek guidance from organizers.
