• Understanding the process involved in creating composite materials.

Session 3: Fabrication of Honeycomb Composite
• Practical fabrication of honeycomb matrix composite.
• Insight into the application of honeycomb matrix in the interior structure of aircraft wings, control surfaces, etc.
• Hands-on experience in creating composite materials with honeycomb structures.

Who Should Take This Course:
This Course is ideal for the students of Aeronautical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering (preferably 2nd Year students).

Benefits of Taking This Course:

The outcome of learning about composite materials is an understanding of the properties and characteristics of these materials, as well as their potential uses and applications. The polymer-based composite gives out the idea of how the outer skin is of Aircrafts, Highspeed Boats, Automotive body, wind turbine blades are manufactured. The honeycomb matrix is used in the interior structure of aircrafts wings, control surface etc. Understanding how to design and produce composite materials can result in the creation of new and improved goods in sectors including construction, automotive, and aerospace. Additionally, understanding composite materials may help with the design and production of goods that are more effective, lightweight, and durable. This can result in lower costs and better performance. In conclusion, understanding composite materials provides a variety of advantages that can help people, companies, and the environment. Composite materials have the potential to influence the future of numerous sectors, from enhanced product design and cost reductions to increased adaptability and environmental advantages. For people interested in this subject, comprehending composite materials can also lead to new job prospects.

Prerequisites:
No specific prerequisites are required for the Compos Workshop. However, participants with a basic understanding of materials science or those with an interest in hands-on fabrication processes may find the workshop more accessible.
